Expanding the Progress Partners EIR Network
At Progress Partners, our Executive-in-Residence network brings together experienced operators, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders who add an important perspective to the work we do with founders, management teams, investors, and strategic buyers.
We’re excited to continue expanding that network with the addition of four accomplished executives: Mike Brooks, Josh Golden, Matt Katrosar, and Kai Henniges.
Collectively, the newest EIRs bring decades of experience across media, advertising, marketing, connected television, technology, and entrepreneurship. Their backgrounds span building and scaling businesses, developing new revenue models, navigating rapidly evolving markets, and leading organizations through periods of strategic change.
Meet Our Newest EIRs
Mike brings deep experience at the intersection of media, advertising technology, mobile, and Connected TV. Throughout his career, he has worked across business development, partnerships, revenue, and operating roles, giving him a broad perspective on how emerging technologies and changing consumer behaviors are reshaping the media ecosystem.
As an EIR, Mike adds valuable perspective around commercial strategy, partnerships, advanced advertising, and the continued evolution of streaming and CTV.
Josh is a marketing and media executive whose career has spanned brand strategy, digital transformation, advertising, and business leadership across agencies, media organizations, and global enterprises.
His experience helping organizations evolve their brands, go-to-market strategies, and customer engagement models brings another valuable dimension to the EIR network—particularly as technology continues to transform how companies build brands, reach audiences, and create sustainable growth.
Matt brings more than two decades of experience across streaming, advertising, content, and media monetization. His career has included leadership roles across organizations including Radial Entertainment, Fremantle, Paramount, Pluto TV, CBS, and Viacom.
His perspective across both traditional and emerging media models will provide valuable insight into the changing economics of content, advertising, streaming, and audience monetization.
Kai brings the perspective of an entrepreneur and operator who has built businesses across media technology and financial technology.
As Co-Founder and CEO of Video Intelligence, Kai led the company through significant growth and ultimately its strategic acquisition by Outbrain—a transaction in which Progress Partners served as exclusive M&A financial advisor. Today, his work with FX Rails continues that entrepreneurial journey in cross-border payments and financial technology.
Kai’s addition to the EIR network also represents a particularly meaningful full-circle relationship: from working alongside Progress Partners as a founder and client to now contributing his own operating experience to the broader Progress community.
Extending the Progress Partners Network
The strength of the EIR program comes from bringing real operating experience into the conversations that matter most.
Our EIRs work alongside the Progress Partners team to provide market perspective, strategic insight, industry connectivity, and firsthand experience from building, leading, financing, and transforming businesses. That perspective helps us look beyond the numbers and better understand the opportunities, challenges, and decisions facing executives in rapidly changing markets.
Mike, Josh, Matt, and Kai further broaden the range of expertise represented across the network, and we’re excited to have them join the Progress Partners community.
Welcome to the team, Mike, Josh, Matt, and Kai.
