With an M&A and capital-raising career spanning more than three decades, Tim has led strategic transactions for Fortune 500 companies as well as early-stage, high-growth businesses around the world. He brings a global perspective to his work, with extensive experience across both cross-border transactions and complex U.S.-based situations.

At Progress Partners, Tim founded and leads the firm’s Retail Technologies and Commerce practice. He advises companies on M&A, capital raising, and strategic growth across commerce, technology, media, and related sectors, and has led numerous domestic and international transactions.

Early in his career, Tim spent 15 years in M&A and capital advisory roles at Lehman Brothers, Bank of America Securities, and Morgan Stanley. He later spent more than a decade with technology-focused boutique advisory firms before founding 8Nineteen Advisory in 2016. Progress Partners acquired 8Nineteen Advisory in May 2021, when Tim joined the firm as a Managing Director. Vuzix Corporation

Tim also serves on the Board of Directors of Vuzix Corporation (Nasdaq: VUZI), where he chairs the Compensation Committee and serves on the Audit and Nominating Committees. Vuzix Corporation

Tim earned his A.B. in English from Kenyon College and his MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
