Clean energy is poised to become one of the leading industries of this century. What is clean energy? It encompasses technologies that allow us to utilize our existing energy sources in a more efficient manner, to the generation, distribution, storage and consumption of energy based on renewable, sustainable and perhaps most importantly, non-fossil based resources. New businesses in such areas as solar, wind, biofuels, biomass, geothermal, energy efficiency, LED lighting and many others have enormous potential - not only to grow and generate profits, but to also positively affect the condition of our planet and strengthen our energy security.
