History
Progress Partners was founded in 2002, aimed to prepare entrepreneurs for the capital raise process: largely venture and strategic equity financing. True to its purpose–driving job creation, innovation, and building business value through established business networks–venture finance serves a great role to the entrepreneur beyond the capital. Over time, there are many parts of the venture market that have strayed from its roots. As capital markets have shifted, cash has become very closely held, and the early stage company can suffer greatly without the necessary financial support. More frequently, management teams have engaged with venture funds at a distinct disadvantage; short on cash, captive to one investor, and unfamiliar with a lot of the terms by which capital is distributed. Focused on our ability to support the venture and its management team, Progress Partners established itself by providing the necessary advisory to ventures so they prevail with favorable financing transactions.
Over time, our network has come back to us for advisory on mergers and acquisitions as well as later stage financing. We have evolved in the past decade to provide a strong added value to early stage ventures, as advisors and partners, through our acquired expertise and extensive network in each domain. We have evolved an expert process to lead private equity transactions (be it investment or M&A) and look to partner with management who recognize the need to maintain focus on business concerns while we craft the deal.
Philosophy
Our clients are visionary executives with an entrepreneurial spirit. They are aggressively seeking growth to capitalize on winning opportunities and unique, paradigm-shifting ideas. We believe these solutions need the right mentorship beside a capital plan. Our team and board ensure that the entrepreneurs get the right exposure and feedback that can assist them in making them a formidable business concern.
We not only manage the funding and due diligence processes that enable our clients to stay focused on managing business operations, but also provide the feedback and projected market impact they seek when reaching a critical point of inflection on the path toward reaching both short term and long term goals.
